  1. This directory contains evaluation programs for testing Scilab's
  2. installation on your machine.
  3.  
  4. 1- to run a global test on various functions type "make tests"
  5.    in this directory. Results of the tests are compared to 
  6.    corresponding references. Failure of a test does not necessarily
  7.    imply bad installation. Failure may be due to small differences
  8.    in machine constants. This can happen in particular in "matopt.tst".
  9.  
  10. 2- to run test on a specific item, invoke Scilab in this directory
  11.    and  type "exec('<item>.tst')" at Scilab prompt.
